New van!

I love my new van. It has leather seats and the front two seats heat up so when trevor freezes me out with the air conditioning I turn on the seats and it warms me right up. It has an automatic door for the kids to easily get into. The lights turn on by themselves when it starts to get dark. has a cd player which we have never had. It is a very big luxury for us. And lots more room and cheaper gas when we have to go out of town. The kids love riding in it. the seats are very comfortable to sit in and it is so fun to drive. Definately better than my big beast of a van i am used to driving around in. also it has the clicker from you key chain (don't know the scientific name for it) which we also have never had. So we are very pleased with what we got!

Just a little post Trustin started T-ball today. He had a blast. Maybe he'll become as good of a baseball player as his uncle Chase! We can only hope! He will have his first game a week from this thursday. They go all over up to 45 mins away for some of their games! We are excited for Trustin! Go Trustin Go!

St. George vacation!

This past week we decided with all the stress in our lives to take a vacation. We were going to go through St. George and through Mesquite and then go onto Grand Canyon and valley of fire. But our little car didn't work so we ended just spending three days having fun in St. George with our beast of a van. I enjoy driving it and there is tons more room it is just a gas hog. We spent like three times the gas we would have in our car, but we had a blast and were able to get groceries also. We went to the Washington City community center and took the kids swimming. They have a lot of cool kids slides and an indoor hydro tube, a river that pushes you along and just a lot of fun things. The kids really enjoyed it, and Trevor enjoyed his time going down the hydrotube. Trustin got to have a ride with Trevor down the hydrotube and thought it was a blast. Then that night we went to a movie the Lightening theif. It was a good movie, a little over the kid's heads, but it was the only kids movie that we could go to and we have to take advantage of it when we are there. We ordered a big tub of popcorn since it was the kids first movie at the theater, Aleynah was sooo excited, but she ended up just falling asleep halfway through. Then on Saturday we spent the day in Snow Canyon (named after the color of the rocks not the temperature). They had sand dunes which were the color red and petrified sand dunes which they were able to climb and just a bunch of cool places to hike. It was packed with people being easter weekend. Then we just ended staying at a hotel for 2 nights. We have found this great hotel that we always stay at that has two rooms, basically the two queens in the one room then a hideabed in the other one with a t.v. that we put the kids in and they just watch tv until they fall asleep. It works very well with two young kids who are wound up and don't want to fall asleep. We also enjoyed going out to eat, McDonald's, subway, pizza hut, arby's. So all in all we had a blast. It is so nice to get out of the house once in a while.

So I think I have totally lost it. Between mohawks and everything else, I Should have said no to this but they were soo cute. We got two of them.We have a close friend who they will belong to, but we said we could keep them in a box in the house till they get a little bigger because it is too cold outside for them now. And my kids absolutely love them. They will become great egg layers and it gives the kids a chance to experience taking care of something, (and they will be going to a great home when they get big.

Crazy hair Mohawk

So one of Trustin's little friends comes to school one day with a mowhawk. The wife said, "It was all my husband's idea." Trevor comes home for lunch a few days later and I just happened to mention this kids hair. He said,"You should give Trustin one. I want it thin and spiky. So I thought what could it hurt. So I cut off one half of the hair and think to myself, "WHAT HAVE I DONE?" I wanted at that moment to put it all back but realized I couldn't and realized I would have to finish. I am finally starting to be able to get used to it. Although it is kinda fun to see people's reactions (it gets my mind off of our stress of Trevor's layoff.) Some people say, oh-he's just a kid, let him have fun. Others have thought my child will have no hope, and will grow up wild. I just have to laugh. It is JUST a haircut. It will grow back, and he is only five. Being married to an artist, I have definately have grown into having an open mind. One little thing is not going to totally ruin him. I used to think that you had to be way conservative and by the letter of the law. But I have seen the effects of being too controling and not allowing to make your own choices, and it tends to throw people in the opposite direction alot of the time where they hate being good. So, anyways, a little mohawk never hurt anyone and I hope that if your kid wants to be a little outside the box to let them.

Here is an updated photo of my beautiful baby. It is hard to tell but he has VERY blue eyes. I never thought I would get lucky enough to have a blue-eyed baby, but I got lucky and boy does he look like his daddy (or so Everyone says) We pulled out Trevor's old baby pics and he looks just like him. What a cutie!

Christmas 2009!

We had a great Christmas this year! The kids big present was scooters this year. Trustin loves his and can ride sooo fast. I get way behind waiting for little aleynah riding hers. We have a blast going on walks and the kids riding their scooters. Aleynah also got a couple of dolls and a highchair and stroller to put her dolls in. Also some toy food that she can cook with her dishes that she had before that she is always playing with (she loves to cook for her favorite person-her dad). Trustin got a big alligator, transformer toys, and a few other little toys that he is constantly playing with. Aleynah and Trustin both got socks, new winter boots. Aleynah needed a hat and gloves and she is always wanting me to put them on her. Trevor got art supplies and some books. Trevor's parents gave us a new camera that we absolutely love. And Trustin and Aleynah's grandma gave them a pillow pet. Trustin carries his around the house all day and won't go to sleep without it. I got some luggage(which I wanted because when we go to Idaho one suitcase doesn't do it for me and 3 kids! I also got a new big crockpot and some new shoes and socks. We were truly blessed this year for christmas! I am thankful for the real meaning of Christmas, and that Christ loved us enough to die for us. I hope everyone had as good of christmas as us.

Well, unexpectedly, we had our baby on monday morning! On Saturday night, I started having really bad contractions about 4 min apart. But I wasn't quite ready to have the baby in my mind, so I tried to ignore them. I went to bed. I have had a ton on braxton hicks this pregnancy so when I woke up a little later when aleynah woke up and I was still hurting, I knew something was up. When I got up in the morning, I wasn't having regular contractions, but my back and stomach were just hurting bad. I decided I was still going to go to church. Several women in the ward asked how I was feeling, and I couldn't lie and say I was in some pain. One of the ladies I visit teach told me I should go and get it checked out. I considered going to the er here, but they don't have the good technology to tell if it is actually progressing. When a couple of women offered to take the kids while I went to cedar, I felt I should take them up on their offer. Trevor was 100% sure it was a false alarm so he packed very very few things, he didn't even pack any clothes to change into. On the way over, I had at least 20 contractions in an hour so I knew something had to be up. Well, when they checked me at the hospital, they said I was a 2. I thought well, I have heard alot of women can be at a two for weeks so we thought we were going home. They wanted us to stay for an hour just to observe and check again. When they checked in an hour, I was a three, so they knew I was progressing. They told me to go walk walmart for an hour and if I changed to a 4 they would start me. Well, needless to say, I was NOT a 4, I was still a three. Darn it I thought. Well, by this time, It was like 10 p.m. at night and the doctor didn't feel good about sending us home that late in the dark with past history of after having aleynah, having my water broke then she was born 7 min.later. So he decided he wanted us to stay until 6 am and if I hadn't changed then I could go home. Well 6 am rolls around and I am a 5 so they know now I am in later. So we get pitocin for a while up to the max dose and still nothing is happening. Then they decide that for sure when the doctor comes and breaks my water, it will speed up delivery. Still nothing, during sometime in between, they discover that the baby may be posterior, which means head up. That is why it is taking forever. Well it was still very slow so the nurses decide to go ahead and scrape my membranes. After that, things start to spead up very fast. They also thing during this time the baby flipped himself back over. So when he decided to come, he decided to come. I pushed 4 times and he was out. He was born at 4:51 p.m. 7lbs 2 oz 19 1/2 inches. Ryley James Bazil. He is an excellent baby. Just like they say, eats, sleeps and poops. He is my very handsome baby. I don't know what is up with our camera, but here are some pics. Also trustin wanted to show off his halloween costume so I'll post pics.

Meetings!

This past week I have been very busy in my church callings. Last Tuesday, I did enrichment meeting having a lady in our ward teach us to make wheat bread. It is the yummiest bread ever. Her husband wanted to learn how to make this bread, so when she had her shoulder surgery, she taught him how to make it. Now when the need bread, he gets up at 4:00 in the morning, yes 4:00 and starts making the bread. They are an older retired couple. I thought that takes love and dedication. What would it be like for our husbands to be that committed!!!! Then on saturday, I was in charge of a booth at the stake enrichment meeting before the general conference broadcast. That turned out to be alot of fun. The best part was, we had a lady, (trevor replaced her husband at work when he retired) teach us how to make homemade tortillas. They had lots of delicious food with recipes, a great recipe for Cafe Rio chicken that I have decided to try to make today. Then yesterday, I had monthly pack meeting. We also had a meeting before to discuss pinewood derby in January. I am a little nervous about that one, but supposedly it is alot of fun and the boys really enjoy it. So we'll see how that goes. I was in the pharmacy the other day picking up a perscription for Trevor and one of the new workers that I hadn't met before was a little excited and when I came up to the counter, when she called Trevors name, she was looking around for a man all excited. She said oh, I thought it was Trevor Brazile, (famous rodeo star), thinking it was so cool that a famous person was in our little town, because she was such a big fan of his. Sorry to disappoint. Also, his 18 month old son's name is Treston Trevor Brazille. (Trustin Trevor Bazil. Little ironic huh!!

Inducing date!

Well,we went to the doctor this weekend and found out I am getting induced on October 26th at 7 am. Yahoooooo! I am so ready to see this little guy and be done being pregnant. I love having new babies, I think they are so sweet and special. I always get very excited for the first time you get to look at each other after they are born. I love the feelings you get together with your husband after having a new baby. There is nothing in the world that matches that feeling or words to describe it. It is like me and Trevor can just read each others thoughts and it is so spiritual. Trevor always gets teary eyed and it is so great to see a man soften. (don't tell him I told you). I keep measuring about two weeks farther alone, so we'll see if it happens early. Trevor's dad really wants it to be on the 25th, Aleynah came a day before I was supposed to be induced last time, so we'll see what happens!

Summer is over!

Well, I think we are all ready for summer to be over at our house. We will be glad to be back into our regular routines, Trevor to go back to work, and Trustin to start preschool. Trevor is healing nicely after his surgery. We went to Vegas the night before his surgery, just me and Trevor and were able to spend one on one time together without the kids. We went to a movie, Transformers, then went to eat at a fancy restuarant. It was very nice. Here are some pics of the dog Trevor wanted me to post on the blog. Also pics of Trevor's knee after his surgery and after the stitches were out. This is how I have to give the dog a bath, he hates it and is very strong so we have to tie him with two leashes.

4th of July!

We love the 4th of July around here. First at 11:00, we have a parade. Since there is not a ton of kids that live here, the kids get tons of candy. Every kid brings a grocery bag and has a ton of candy. Then after that we go to the park and have races. You don't have to win you just run to the end and the volunteer firefighters give you money. Then they had a whole truck loaded with watermelon and they cut it up and you can eat as much as you want. I think Trustin ate over 5 slices. He loves it. Then they turn on the fire hoses and throw down quarters, dimes and nickels and you all race to pick up as much as you can. We made between the 4 of us $26.50 It was a blast. We went and got a pizza with our money. They had over 1500.00 dollars in change for people to win. Then we watched the fireworks with our friends the Ahlstroms. John Ahlstom is the shop teacher at Trevor's work. While we were watching them it was really funny (you had to be there) Aleynah kept yelling, "Look John look". She kept saying it over and over. It was funny because I don't think she's ever even talked to Trevor's friend John. But she was really concerned that he was missing them. Here is a picture of most of the money we made.

Well, it looks like Trevor is getting surgery on his knee. We are hoping to get it done on his two week break before school starts in the first of august. The doctor says his acl ligament is completely severed, doesn't exist in easier terms. There is no blood supply to his knee so he'll have to have a new ligament put in. I don't have to appear for jury duty because the trial was cancelled which will be easier on me not having to have my schedule switched around and have a babysitter for my kids. It has been very hot here, we haven't been able to play outside for long which the kids want to be outside more, so we have to spend as much time in the evenings as we can so they can have their play time. Trevor wanted me to post a picture of magnum so everyone can see how big he's getting. He'll be a year next month. We gave him a bath which is hard enough in itself, he hates them, then we took a walk down by the creek, not one of my smartest ideas, and he decided to jump in the nice black icky mud. So much for the bath, but he thought it was fun. Then our other dog, a dauchand thought he was big stuff and chased off a few deer. I sure hope one day they don't decide to fight back, he won't back down and he is so little. Trustin caught a baby frog, we tried to convince him to leave it there, but under no circumstances was he going to release this baby frog. Sad, to say, it died. We really need to work on explaining letting things go and find a better way to convince him that he doesn't need these pets. Last time we let his lizard go, we never heard the end of it. He still brings up his spiky and we let him go probably around 2 months ago. He gets very attached.

We found out yesterday that we are having a boy! His name will be Rylie (not for sure on spelling yet) James Bazil. Also Trevor's surgery went well and he is healing nicely. We have to go to Vegas on Tuesday for Trevor to meet with an orthapedic surgeon. So hopefully he won't have to have surgery on his knee. I have just been digging out all of Trustin's old clothes to see what could still be used. After looking through alot of his clothes, I remember what a spitter upper he was. So I guess I may have to get a few new things like onsies and outfits. But it makes me excited getting out all of the baby things and putting them into drawers while I still feel like it.

These guys are so silly! they think they are cute dressing up alike. I had to take a picture. They thought they would go suprise dad by their silly costumes. Trevor fell thursday and twisted his ankle. He may have to have surgery. We go in for an MRI on Wednesday, then on thursday he gets his tonsils out. Poor Trevor! We can all wish him luck that it goes ok! We decided to cut aleynah's bangs. I was a little nervous for the first time to see how she would look. She looked tons older to us! But still as cute as ever!

Good News!

Just thought I would post some good news. Trevor's boss told the teachers that they got funding so he will be gaurenteed his job for at least two more years, which is excellent since the rest of the district is laying off 10 teachers. Trevor won the homecoming button drawing (they were to draw a picture representing something about caliente) the whole county could participate, he won $100 dollars. Congrats! Trevor. They will be going to a 4 day work day for Trevor, probably starting in the summer so we'll be able to spend more time with dad and he'll have a three day weekend every week getting paid the same! Cool!

This month we have had 2 birthdays. Trevor's was on the 11th and Aleynah's on the 18th. They are exactly one week apart. Aleynah, for her birthday got this tent. She loves it. The first night she slept in it. When she woke up in the morning, I found her still in the tent. Then Trustin has been sleeping in it. This picture is of Trevor reading stories to them in the tent. They love it. It was a great gift. When aleynah had her friends over for her party, she refused to let them get out of the tent. She was holding them hostage. It was really cute.

We decided to update pictures of Magnum our bulldog. He is only about 7 months old and length of Trevor. He is VERY heavy. I can't really lift him and trevor has a hard time. This last weekend we went to St. George and went shopping. We went to sportsman's warehouse and got a dutchoven and cast iron skillet for our food storage. Then we went to Ross to get new coats. We have had the same coats forever so we decided it was time for a change. Then we went to kohls and me and trevor bought a bunch of new clothes for ourselves. We hadn't been able to get clothes for a while so we took advantage of our tax return. We are going to cedar city on friday for dentist appointments (Fun, not) Then I got a 50 dollar gift certificate for buying stuff at kohls and its only good during that time we are in cedar so we are going to swing down to St. George and get a few more things I would like. Then we are hoping to go to a movie, (which we haven't done for atleast 2-4 years. I can't even remember the last movie we saw in a theater. We are having a ward valentines party for the adults where we play games and hang out without the kids. We are excited for that and Trevor has a 4 day weekend this week. YEAH!!

Look who's the birthday boy!

On Tuesday, Trustin had his 4th birthday! I can't believe my little boy is 4. We are actually having his party on friday, due to the fact that on his birthday, I had jury duty. I wasn't sure if I'd make it home for a party so we decided to wait until then. He is having some of his friends come and play games, have cake and ice cream, then open any presents he will have. We are probably going to St. George this weekend for shopping so that will be exciting. Then on sunday, we have a very good friend of ours, James Ahlstrom is going on his mission. He was home teaching companions with Trevor for a while and his dad teaches with Trevor and the whole family is really good friends with us so we are excited. He goes into the MTC on Wednesday the 11th. My brother Swede recieved another award for his hard work in the marines, they say that no one his age ever recieves one, and he has now recieved two. They even did a formations for him. He is currently serving in Japan, will be home to California in March. He is the fastest runner in his group so they are sending him to Hawaii to compete in a race that is 8 miles. He runs alot, so he should do just fine. We are excited when he comes home we may make a trip again this summer to see him in San Diego.

We call her princess leynah just like princess leya on star wars. We thought her little do looked kind of like hers. Her hair is finally able to put up in pig tails.

This year we had a great Christmas. It was our first time to have Christmas at our house. It was fun watching the kids open their presents and play with them.
This year for christmas, Trevor made us Christmas cards out of scratch board, Elmo for Aleynah, Spongebob and Patrick for Trustin, The horse and picture of baby Aleynah for me. He drew the picture of aleynah with pencil.

Thanksgiving 2008!

For thanksgiving this year, we had our friends Jennifer Canar and her husband David and their two kids Cathan and Jaron over for Thanksgiving. We had fun hanging out and eating lots of food. It was good to have friends to come over. This weekend we are going to get a christmas tree. Our first fresh own cut ourselves tree. I am way excited to have a real tree. We are going with ahlstroms to get this.

Trilobites!

Today we went to the desert just a few miles from our house and went looking for trilobites. We found quite a few. They were pretty cool. You break them out of the rocks to reveal different things. This is an example of some that we found.There are lots of cool places to explore. We took the dogs and hiked up the mountains to find these. There was also a place with a bunch of arrowheads we were going to check out but we ended up going home to check this out another time. There are places with indian petroglifs all over around where we live and if you go down Rainbow canyon, you have to watch out not to hit the wild horses running around everywhere. It is pretty cool living in caliente where we get to explore and see all these unique places, so I guess not living in the city sure has its advantages.

Yeah, I know I am a few weeks behind on the posting of this, but I just got the pictures so I thought I would post them. Trustin is winnie the pooh and Aleynah is a ballerina. They had tons of fun trick or treating, we went with the Ahlstrom's who are very good friends of ours. The kids went to a carnival at the elementary school first, then Trustin went trick or treating. Aleynah helped her dad hand out candy at the house. They had lots of candy in the end.

Time goes by so fast!

We put a hat on Trustin today and realized how big he is getting. We can't believe he will be 4 in february. He is growing up so fast. It makes me sad. On Friday, Halloween we will be taking Aleynah to see a ear, nose and throat doctor to see if they can put some tubes in her ears. She has an awful lot of ear infections and her brother also used to have tubes. He hasn't had one since. So I think it will definately help. Then when we get to go to a halloween carnival at the elementary school when we get back and then we'll take the kids trick-or-treating. Trustin is going to be winnie the pooh and aleynah will be a ballerina or fairy.

Quiet book!

In our mom-n-tots group, today we exchanged ideas on how to make a quiet book. I found a bunch of easy cheap ways to put together a book. I have quite enjoyed looking online and through books for different ideas. I have even completed three pages. The kids have found it great watching mom make their church book. I am not much of a sewer so I have ideas that I can use the hot glue gun on. And I think it will help keep wild Trustin and busy Aleynah entertained. I am so excited when it is done to see how it will work. Also I printed another free quiet book online that has a bunch of cute lds pictures and quotes.

We have decided Magnum needs a new nickname. It is Mr.Piggy. He eats everything in sight. He is eating us out of house and home. I try to talk trevor into selling him but he loves his dog. In the picture, he just consumed 32 oz. of cottage cheese and a couple scoops of peanut butter and he probably ate all his dog food in his bowl if I went outside and checked. another sad thing is he is only like 12 or 13 WEEKS old. How is he going to be when he is an adult?????

Well, we decided to get Aleynah's ears pierced. She is so cute with them. Trustin is now enrolled in a thing called Joy School. Joy school is like a preschool but instead of learning numbers and letters, he will be learning about values. He loves it. Trevor and I had our
8th Wedding Anniversary on the 22nd. We may go to Mesquite this weekend to celebrate since the 22nd is on a Monday. Trevor has just been working hard doing artwork for people who have been begging him to do it for them. The following picture is one of another teacher who works with Trevor, their children young and old. It looks great. He does an awesome job.

Despite not wanting a new puppy to make three, unfortunately I got over ruled by Trevor. He is kind of cute! We found out his parents are world champion dog competetors so he has excellent blood lines. He even has papers! We have never had a dog that was so prestigous. We went a couple of weeks ago to visit Trevor's family and to go to Trevor's good friend David's wedding. That was a blast. Trustin hsd so much fun playing with his cousin Hallee and his good old buddy Cathan. We went to Thanksgiving point and toured the Dinosaur museum in Lehi, UT. The kids had fun and we went to get ice cream when we were done. We also got to go swimming a couple of times at the motels we were at, the kids had a blast. I was ready to come home. But we all had fun. On Sunday we were able to eat dinner with almost all of Trevor's family which was good to see them since we hadn't seen them since christmas. We also toured Manti and ephraim and richfield utah and saw the manti temple. It is a beautiful temple.

Busy Week

This week trying to pack and keep up with two very busy kids has been quite the challenge. Aleynah thought she is funny by riding the dog. She loves it when you hold her hands and she walks around the room, and she finds it extremely funny if you place her on the dog's back. She thinks she's going for a great ride. Trustin and Aleynah have been trying to keep cool in there little pool, but we have been taking them to the city pool to help them cool down. She has also discovered how fun it is to use the computer. We have to keep it turned off when she's around in case she decides to get a little carried away pushing the cool buttons. My sister Desiree is getting home from her mission in North Carolina. So I am excited to be able to talk on the phone tomorrow with her.

crazy little town

Well, we have been crazy busy the last two weeks with Trevor being on his two week break. We went to Vegas. Then we have taken a few fun hikes at the local state parks. We experienced our first family camping trip. It really showed us how unprepared we are and in an emergency, we would be in BIG trouble. We had a hard enough time cooking hot dogs. Well, a little bit about Caliente, it is a very small town. Only about 1200 people. So, if you say anything, it gets around everywhere and can get a bit twisted. I told some of our friends we were moving, which will be just across town, and some how the rumor got spread that we were moving because Trevor got fired, which is very far from the truth. The move is because we need more space, not a bad thing. It is just kinda funny where when we lived in Provo, we didn't even know our neighbors, and now people in our neighborhood, who we have never met, know more about us than we do. It has been scorching hot here, it reached a whopping 95 degrees today, not excited to see what July and August bring.

We're moving!!

We just found out we are going to be moving into a bigger house! hallelua! This house we are currently renting is so small, it is technically only a 1 bedroom with an enclosed porch that we use for the kids room. There is been hardly any space to move around in. This new house is 3 storys and technically 4 bedroom with 3 living/family rooms. It has a large storage room and it has a garage. It even has a deck and a very large yard with grass! I am so excited. It will be so much better. We move in July 1st. We were planning to buy, but you can only buy junk for 200,000 around here. That is a ton of money. So hopefully it won't sale anytime soon so we can live in it for a while.

Grandpa came to visit.

This week Grandpa came up to get grandma while she was visiting. We drove over to St. George and drove over to Virgin, Kolob and Kanab Utah. We enjoyed seeing where Zion's national park is and seeing where they filmed Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Then we went to cathedral gorge park and kershaw ryan. We were able to walk through the caves at Cathedral Gorge which was really cool. Then on monday, we drove up to Beaver Dam state park and did a little walking around. We had fun. Also this past week, Aleynah has started to stand in the middle of the room without holding on to anything. She is getting close to walking but I don't know if I am ready to give up my baby into a toddler yet. But it will be nice when she can keep up with Trustin, I think he'll play better with her when she can walk.

This last weekend we went to a little town of Ely. Trevor wanted to go and check the town out. We went up to a hill called garnet hill to look for garnets. He spent several hours hammering the rocks, but he did find a few garnets. It was a nice little town, they have train rides for the family and a few scenic areas. Next time we go up there we hope to go through Leman Caves. This last week Aleynah learned to fold her arms and pray. It is so cute how she tries to say the prayer. You can't understand what she is saying but it sure is cute how she blabbers on. Also when we talked to my dad, he said my brother Swede in the marines was directing traffic for an airshow and was put on world news. That is pretty cool. He is getting lots of recognition for how hard he works. We are very proud of him.

This week we have just been outside enjoying the weather. Last night we had a hot dog cookout on an open fire for family home evening. That was alot of fun. We went out together and collected rocks for our fire pit. The hot dog's were so yummy Trustin didn't wait for a bun he just ate it off the stick! The other day we also went to cathedral gorge and took a walk and went into the caves. It was alot of fun, but the wind was kind of bad so we got covered in sand. We also went on a drive up Rainbow Canyon and saw some wild horses. We have been going on a few wagon rides, the kids love their wagon. We try to spend as much time outside as possible!!

Grandma came to visit

On thursday, Grandma Vistercil came to visit. She rode on the greyhound. After we picked her up in Cedar City, we went out to eat at Dixie's favorite Chinese restuarant. Then Aleynah had an eye appointment for her plugged tear ducts. The doctor was concerned she might have a cyst in her eye so he wrote her a perscription for some very strong antibiotics. She will have to go back in at the end of the month for a surgical consultation. Then we went to Walmart to get groceries. While we were there, we were back by the milk section, there was a rack of day old bread. Trustin said I want the mouse mommy. I thought he had seen a toy mouse because he always spots toys in unique places and wants to take them home. But low and behold, it was a real mouse. It was climbing on the bread rack. I went and found an employee and told them they have a mouse. So a bunch of us rounded the mouse up and they squished it with a cardboard box. Quite the excitement at walmart. We then went home and Grandma loves playing with the grandkids. She brought them suckers and gave Trustin and Aleynah one. Trustin had two all of a sudden so we told him to give his sister back hers and he comes back and says Aleynah has one. We went and looked and he had helped himself into Grandma's bag to another sucker. What a sneeky kid we have. But after a 13 1/2 hour bus ride Grandma is so tired! We are very glad grandma came to visit!

Vacation to Sea World

Trevor is a high school art teacher at C.O. Bastian High School. It is located inside a detention center. Over his spring break, we were able to go to San Diego and visit some of the local attractions. We went to Sea World and the San Diego zoo. We had a blast. While we were there, we stayed with my brother Swede on the Miramar marine base in a hotel (yes, they filmed the movie Top Gun here). We were able to see the engines that my brother works on the F-18 fighter jet. It was really cool. While we were there, my brother recieved the honor of Marine of the quarter. Thousands of marines apply for this but my brother was asked to interview in front of the board. He didn't study the night before, but he won it. His picture will be displayed at headquarters. He also is going to go in front of the board again to recieve hopefully a higher rank. His corporal that is higher than him said to him, "Do you know how many marines recieve this honor on their first board, none, except you." He is doing awesome in the marines and we are very proud of him. We were able to tour San Diego and to go and see some art galleries. It was quite the experience since Trevor and the kids have never been to California before. We are also able to see my grandfather's grave. That was cool since we had never seen it before. He died when my dad was young. He was in the air force. We were also able to go to the beach, play in the ocean, and collect sea shells. It was a blast.
